OIST Bhopal organized an Industrial visit of WTP for the students of VII semester, Civil Engineering branch on 11-Aug.-2016.
The plant is situated at Vidhan Sabha road Bhopal and has a capacity to purify 5 mld. of raw water.
The students were benefitted a lot by this visit as they observed the raw water of Upper Lake Bhopal, being collected and purified through pre chlorination, mixing alum solution, flocculation, sedimentation and filtration, and thereafter supplying this treated potable water to Bhopal.
This visit helped the students to learn water treatment process which is a very important part of RGPV curriculum.
