An expert lecture on ““Uncertainty in design with Soil” was organized by Department of Civil Engineering, at OIST Seminar Hall, on 10th April, 2015.

The program commenced with traditional lighting of the lamp and invoking Goddess Saraswati. Dr. V. K. Tokhi, Ex Prof. MANIT Bhopal, delivered a lecture on the behavior of soil to be considered in design of foundation, embankments, earthen dams etc. Dr Tokhi is a well known consultant in the area of Geotechnical Engineering. He explained to the students, the properties of soils including basic concepts of Geotechnical engineering.

The Lecture was huge success & a great learning experience for the students as well as faculty members.
