Under Individual Social responsibility an awareness program (ISR) was organized by #Oriental College of Management.

The main speakers & presenters were Dr. Rakesh Bhargava & Mr. Harish Mantri of Kiran Foundation who explained with examples the noble deeds of some Bhopal citizens who donated their organs for others to survive & brighten up their lives.

Another life saving technique CPR was demonstrated by Dr. Yogesh Jain, Dr. Aftab Alam & Dr. Ashita Rathore of Indian Society of Anesthesiology who have been educating young citizen of the city over the years to provide immediate help to “heart-stopped” patients anywhere in a public place.

‘Colors of India' theme enchanted new batch of #Oriental MBA Oriental MBA seniors welcomed the new batch of MBA in a colorful presentation, depicting multicolor folk dances of India. In this program, students gave a message through a skit that the youth should not only stay away from the social evils but also inspire others to do so. Students’ performance on dances of Kashmir, Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat mesmerized the audience. In this program, the members of the 'Student Activity Council' also took oath of their offices. The Chief Guest of the function Mr. Rajesh Tiwari, Former Vice President, Vardhman Group advised the students in his speech to utilize the opportunities and resources available in the college to prepare their career and look around on everything from the managerial view. #Entrepreneurship is an inner instinct but energy can be channelized & converted to power of doing business. #Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was inaugural by Shri N. S. Chatwal Executive Director #CEDMAP as Chief Guest of the function who was welcomed by Dr. Shikha Bhargava, Director OCM.

#Oriental MBA students and students of VNS & SIRT are also participating in this three-day awareness camp being organized by Oriental College of Management in association with #EDII, Ahmedabad. Welcoming the Chief Guest and students Dr. P. K. Chopra Executive Director, OCM inspired the audience with some examples of youngest successful entrepreneurs of India (from the age of 11 to 18 years). Three-day camp’s objective is to inspire young MBA students as a new initiative taken by #Oriental College of Management in collaboration with #EDII, Ahmedabad.

Technical sessions of #Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp - Day 1

First session was taken by Dr. Shiva Johri who enlightened the students on various Financial Assistance Schemes for Entrepreneurs. The next session was by Dr. Shikha Bhargava who conducted a workshop on a lively theme Job readiness Skills for Young Entrepreneurs.

Concluding session was taken up by Dr. K. G. Sudhakar who shared his experiences of mentoring a Skill Development Center at Bangalore and highlighted opportunities in supply chain management & various other sectors.

#MBA students were taken to an #Industrial #project site at Habibganj Railway Station where they were given exposure to dimensions of project tasks and completion deadlines. The students learnt the techniques & technology along with management skills. This visit was a part of #Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp organised by #Oriental College of Management in association with #EDII Ahmedabad.

The industrial visit was followed by a technical session on Prospects of Incubation for Budding Professionals by Dr. Manish Billore who enlightened the students how to nurture ideas, also spoke on processes & opportunities available in smart city projects.

#Day 3 - #Valedictory function #Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp

Over 100 MBA students of #Oriental, #VNS and #SIRT were feeling highly inspired and motivated to become entrepreneurs after attending three days “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” organized by Oriental College of Management in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India Ahmadabad. Students were given 360 degree exposure of technical and Managerial sessions, workshops and Industrial tour followed by motivational lectures of Experts of Industry and academic world.

Mr. Pradeep Karambelkar, MD Visionary Advisory was the Special Guest who enlightened the students by sharing his own entrepreneurial journey and emphasized on smart ideas and hard work to achieve success. Newly admitted #Oriental MBA batch 2018-20 students welcomed by seniors at #Confluence- 2018 with a theme “The Colours of Life”

Starting with Ganesh Vandana & a duet dance sequence on Radhakrishna a skit with social message to create a colour of love and brotherhood was beautifully scripted and presented by a team of #MBA students.
The Chief Guest Mr. Ritesh Verma, Zonal Business Head Bhopal, Airtel addressed the students to live life to accept change for improvement, create their own brand image and always keep time management in mind.
Hon’ble Chairman #Oriental Group Shri Praveen Thakral appreciated the students participation & performance and announced special prizes for some students who excelled. He assured the students for the best infrastructure facilities and asked them to value their time and utilise next two years to achieve great heights. Executive Director Dr. P. K. Chopra mentioned in his welcome address that the students from 28 Universities have taken admission this year in #Oriental MBA batch 2018-20 and 51% of them are girls.

Interactive session on 108 Emergency Services for #Oriental MBA students to give them an exposure to medico legal aspects of handling emergency and accident cases.

Under Individual Social responsibility an awareness program (ISR) was organized by #Oriental College of Management.

The main speakers & presenters were Dr. Rakesh Bhargava & Mr. Harish Mantri of Kiran Foundation who explained with examples the noble deeds of some Bhopal citizens who donated their organs for others to survive & brighten up their lives.

Another life saving technique CPR was demonstrated by Dr. Yogesh Jain, Dr. Aftab Alam & Dr. Ashita Rathore of Indian Society of Anesthesiology who have been educating young citizen of the city over the years to provide immediate help to “heart-stopped” patients anywhere in a public place.

#Oriental students were enthusiastic to learn the technique and also talk about it among their families and friend circles. Ms. Kamaldeep Saluja, Ms. Archana Bhargava, Ms. Meenal Munshi & Mr. Aditya Shukla of Kiran Foundation were also present.
The team was welcomed by Dr. Shikha Bhargava and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. P. K. Chopra

Reading from good books helps a lot, set your goal & carefully choose your specialization, he advised students of sem II. He made them to take a goal-oath & then pat-yourself. It was a great learning exposure for MBA sem II students.

Industrial visit of Oriental MBA sem I students to Bhaskar Industries, Mandideep

Bhaskar Industries GM HR Admin Mr. Vishwajit Singh took up a special session of the visiting students. He said Indian economy is growing @ 5% and jobs are being created, therefore, the students have to make themselves job ready essentially with job skills & soft skills. Oriental MBA students were then exposed to the different processes of Denim manufacturing from raw material cleaning, spinning, weaving, coloring, shading, and finishing to the packaging stage. #Oriental College of Management expresses its gratitude to Mr. Vishwajit Singh for his enriching session & fruitful industrial visit.

Visit to "Bhopal Cooperative Dugdha Sangh (SANCHI)"

Oriental MBA students with Dr. Veena Saxena Coordinator, Quality Control Bhopal Cooperative Dugdha Sangh (SANCHI) at the plant which manufactures milk products,Butter, Ghee & Gulab Jamuns with FSSAI standards.

The students saw the plant where chilling & processing of milk (received from village cooperatives) is done. Oriental College of Management is thankful to the management of Bhopal Cooperative Dugdha Sangh (SANCHI) for this opportunity given to Oriental MBA sem II students

Visit to "HEG, Mandideep"

Oriental MBA students visited HEG, Mandideep today. Mr. Abhishek Yadav HR Assistant explained functioning of material management department and quality control methods. He also replied to the students' queries on impact of GST and rupee dollar fluctuation in international market on their products.

Visit to "Ondoor Concepts Pvt. Ltd. Bhopal"

Industrial visit by Oriental MBA students to Ondoor Concepts Pvt. Ltd. Bhopal The students were shown spacious warehouses having cold storages as well as other storage spaces for an effective inventory management. They were also apprised of methods of inventory carrying and delivery apps, MBQ, EOQ concepts, packaging & repacking for e-retailing as well for 30 stores in Bhopal.
