An expert lecture was conducted by the Department of Basic Sciences, for the First Year students, on the Green Technology (Bio composites) in the Institute auditorium, on 14 March, 2016.
The Professor and Head Chemistry MANIT Bhopal Dr Savita Dixit addressed the students and apprised the students of various projects related to green Chemistry that can be undertaken by the students, so as to orient them towards research. She encouraged the students to go for research in common use and patenting such innovations. She also demonstrated certain models of degradable nature that are used for industrial applications. The expert was given a warm welcome by the Head Basic Sciences and attended by the students and staff teaching First Year. The Institute encourages such lectures so as to groom the students from the First year itself.
