Department of Mechanical Engineering OIST, Bhopal organized a one-day industrial visit to Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Bhopal, for sixth semester students on 4th Feb. 2016, under the supervision of Mr. Arun Kumar and Mr Raju Ali (Technical Officer, CIPET). Students learnt about various mechanical tests, testing techniques and processing of plastics. The technical officer at CIPET, explained the various operations and components of the CNC Machine, required in the manufacturing of complex machine components. Students visited the Testing unit, Production Unit, and CAD/CAM/CAE lab. They understood the importance of various manufacturing processes, testing techniques, odeling and simulation. This visit was quite useful to the students,as it would help them in planning & building their future career, in the field of production and design sectors.
