Conduction of 3- Day Mega Workshop For International Go Cart Championship, at OIST Bhopal
The ambience was flooded with the scent of gasoline, as the occasion was of the inaugural ceremony of a 3 day (22- 24th Jan 16) mega workshop on Vehicle Dynamics and Design. This workshop is being organized by Lovely Professional University,SAE India Collegiate Club in association with Republic Motors.
The event began with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. The experts, Mr. Vikram Motwani, Chief Technical Officer, Republic Motors and Mr. Aditya Ghoshi, Managing Director, Republic Motors were given a cordial welcome by Dr. V K Sahu, Director, Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal.
The workshop at OIST, is meant to hone the students, so that they are competent enough, for the International Go Kart. International Go Cart Championship, is a global student challenge, with a mission of encrypting students with technical as well as practical knowledge, of manufacturing the Go Kart .It is a prestigious event organized by LPU, every year.
Team Vijayant from Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal recently participated in National Kart racing championship. They secured all India rank 6 among 100 colleges from all over India, secured all India rank 2 in the final race and stood 3rd in Business Presentation Event. All this information was given by Dr. Bharat Gupta, HOD Automobile Engineering Department. He also motivated the participants for a better performance.
The workshop brought in participation from all the Engineering colleges of the Country. The workshop on Oriental campus, is expected to provide a platform for Engineering students from all over the State, in understanding the intricacies of the manufacturing process and would definitely, prepare them to compete on the International front.
