Online Certification on C++ & Java by IIT Bombay for OIST Bhopal students
An Online Certificate Exam was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering on 18/04/2016 for “C++ andJava” for Computer Science & Engineering IVth and VIth Semester OIST Bhopal students under “Spoken Tutorial project” under the supervision of IIT Bombay at OIST Bhopal.
The Spoken Tutorial project is being developed by IIT Bombay for MHRD, Government of India. The Spoken Tutorial project is an initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. About SELF Training, the Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning, a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++, LibreOffice etc. via an easy Video tool - Spoken Tutorials.
A two hour per week workshop on C++ and Java was conducted by IIT Bombay from 18/01/2016 to 17/03/2016, in which video lectures were provided to the students for improving their technical skills. On the basis of the video lectures, IIT Bombay later, conducted an Online Certificate Exam on 18/04/2016, in which IVth and VIth Semester students participated thereafter.. Out of 73 students who took the test, 66 got Certification. This kind of certification from IIT Bombay would definitely prove beneficial to the students in future.
