The OGI Management has taken certain stringent measures to curb ragging in the campus because ragging has been identified to be an uncivilized, inhuman and intolerable tradition. A full time counseling cell functions in the Institutes along with proctor committee of senior faculty members to maintain cordial relations between seniors and juniors.

The objective of promoting entrepreneurship among the youth is to nurture a passion for self-employment, to create a new breed of technopreneurs and to expand avenues of employment opportunities, thus turning job seekers into job creators. A large number of students are members of this Cell.
MOU with Govt of MP for Establishment of Oriental University, Indore Shri K.L. Thakral, Chairman, Oriental Group of Institutes signed an MOU with the Govt of MP for establishment of world class Oriental University, Indore. It was solemnized on 27 Oct 07 in the gracious presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of MP, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan during Global Investors' Meet held at Indore.The state Govt has also issued a Letter of Intent(LOI).University is likely to start from the next session.
