• Workshop on Computer Programming : A CP workshop was held at TCT Seminar Hall on 29 June 09 as part of Faculty Development Program.
• Entrepreneurship Development Cell : The objective of promting entrepreneurship among the youth is to nurture a passion for self-employment and create a new breed of technopreneurs and more avenues of employment opportunities thus turning job seekers into job creators.

The Broad Objectives & Activities of EDC:

* The cell helps student to create awareness of entrepreneurship spirit and culture among the students.

* To create a database on industrial information to facilitate entrepreneurs by providing information on entrepreneurial opportunities.

* To conduct skill industrial development training programs with updated technologies

• MOU with Govt of MP for Establishment of Oriental University, Indore. Shri K.L. Thakral, Chairman, Oriental Group of Institutes signed an MOU with the Govt of MP for establishment of world class Oriental University, Indore. It was solemnized on 27 Oct 07 in the gracious presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of MP, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan during Global Investors' Meet held at Indore.The state Govt has also issued a Letter of Intent(LOI).University is likely to start from the next session.
• National Ranking: Oriental Institue is at no. 36 Thakral College at no. 37 among the Top 100 T-School of India.
• Crowning Glory: Oriental Group is the unquestioned, the undisputed State Level Center for Campus Placement.
